Ten (pictures) on Tuesday

Here are some highlights of the past week or so around here. There are a few pictures from Cousin Camp 09 mixed in. Cousin Camp is on its 4th(or is it 5th?) year. My aunt who lives in Bryan hosts a weekend for all the cousin kids to come visit, play, eat, craft, and swim together. It has become an established tradition, and everyone looks forward to the fun of it all. Today is my dad‘s birthday(happy birthday, dad!), and some of us went to Culvers to celebrate. The last picture is also from today. I couldnt resist posting up the fabulousness of it so make sure you click on it to get a better look. Yippeee!

‘bububie’ picking

This past friday evening Dirk and I dropped off Naomi at my parent’s house on our way to take Josiah blueberry picking. Josh, our friend came and met us there, and Josiah was so happy to see him.  (When Josiah was looking at the pictures he wanted us to know that Josh was his friend and kept telling us “my Josh, MY Josh”) I am a little more serious about my blueberry picking so the pictures are mostly of Joisah and Dirk–and Josh, of course.  We picked about 4 1/2 pounds and made blueberry banana pancakes for dinner the next day. Yum.

my kids have the best dad!

I think if you know Dirk, you know he’s a great father. He love his kids and they love him back .  I am so grateful for a man who does not shy away from changing diapers, giving baths, fixing meals, or playing hard as soon as he wakes up or walks through the door from work. We love him a lot, and his service to his family does not go unnoticed or unappreciated!

(The shirts Naomi and Josiah are wearing say, “Daddy’s lil cutie” and “Son of Superdad” respectively)
